Our family business was founded in 1982, primarily as a Canadian wholesale importer of British silverplated flatware. Originally called ‘David Shaw Silverware’, the company name has evolved to more accurately reflect the variety of product categories offered, and now operates as David Shaw Designs.
With a principal focus on European tabletop, bar, giftware and home decor, the product assortment has grown to include many well recognized international brands, which collectively offer a comprehensive array of home and tableware items.
David Shaw expanded into housewares in 2013, again with a focus on European design. The blend of homeware, tabletop and gift has positioned us as a one-stop shopping experience for our retail partners.
In 2025, we’re growing again with the rollout of a foodservice division. Designed to support the needs of professional chefs, mixologists and event planners, our stylish brands and products are destined to be featured soon at top venues across Canada
